1st Year
Hello ,
My name is Landon , and I have been a member of TUMC since birth. I serve as an acolyte monthly to my church as a way of giving back.
I am a high school sophomore, attending Carver Center for the Arts in Towson Maryland. I am studying carpentry and architectural design. My hobbies include, skateboarding, hunting and fishing. I have been an avid boyscout for over 10 years. I am currently working very hard to attain my eagle scout requirements. This is the first time that ASP does not interfere with my summer boyscout camping trip. So with the mentor ship and encouragement of Mr. Paul Dickover and Mr. Bill Schroeder , both master carpenters and positive male role models in my life , I've decided to commit to going on the ASP journey this year. This trip is costly , and I am asking for my church family to donate and help sponsor me on my trip this summer. I believe that the carpentry skills that I am learning in school and by my mentors, that I will be a positive contributor to the ASP project this summer.
Giving back to the Appalachian families in need , I know will help me to build character , experience and compassion. I look forward to experiencing this with my church family, as a newbie!
Thank you in advance for your donation and for sponsoring me,
Landon
